Try Before You Buy

Why is there an authorization on my card?

updated Feb 20, 2026

We totally understand that it can be confusing to see the full amount on your bank statement. As noted at checkout, TryNow places an authorization on your card for the total amount of your order. This is how we ensure that funds can be captured for items you keep — it’s just like a hold that hotels or rideshare apps use, and it helps protect us against fraud. The way authorizations display on your statement varies by bank. Typically, authorizations are labeled as “pending” or they will not have a date associated with the charge, indicating that the charge has not yet been posted.

So in short, you may notice this amount as a pending charge or incomplete charge, but this amount will NOT be taken out of your account until after your trial period ends.

You may request a return for any of the items in your order during your trial period, at no cost to you, and you will only be charged for the items you decide to keep.
